PERAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN, LINGKUNGAN KERJA DAN PELATIHAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA PEGAWAI
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the role of management information systems, work environment, and training in improving employee performance at PT Indosat. The research background is grounded in the importance of utilizing information
technology, fostering a conducive work environment, and implementing effective training as key factors that potentially influence employee productivity in the highly competitive telecommunications industry. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method, involving 77 employees as respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability, while data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method to examine the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that the management information system has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that an integrated information system enhances work effectiveness and performance outcomes. Conversely, training demonstrates a negative yet significant impact on employee performance, suggesting a misalignment between training content or methods and employees’ actual needs, thereby limiting its contribution to performance improvement. Meanwhile, the work environment shows a positive but insignificant effect, indicating that this factor is not a primary determinant of performance in this context. These results provide practical implications for management to strengthen the implementation of management information systems, reorient training programs to align with employee needs, and maintain a supportive work environment to foster long-term productivity.
